Hello Again!
So this past week in ISM was actually very laid back. We did a few team building activities with our class which was probably the most fun I've had in a while and it was a good way for us to get closer and really feel like a family rather than just another class.
What I liked most about these team building activities was what Mr. Wysong said about them afterwards. We played two games: one that required lateral and strategic thinking and another that used creativity and art. I didn't realize it until Mr. Wysong had pointed it out, but the way we acted in these games told a lot about our personality and work ethic. Obviously if you enjoyed the logical game, you leaned more towards straight-forward thinking and problem solving, while those who like the art game liked the back story and creative aspect of them game.
This helped me learn what my strengths were and how it applied to my field. I've always found algebra difficult, but some people love it. But when I was in geometry, I love it and saw that it was really quite easy to me, and I hadn't realized until we had played those games that it was so easy because I could visualize what was happening. I could see the angles and the lines and shapes which made it easier for me to understand. Just like in the games where I found it very difficult to do the strategic and logical game but found it easy to do the game that involved drawing.
What Mr. Wysong said really opened my eyes to the different ways of thinking and how everyone is different when it comes to solving a problem. These games helped me learn a lot about myself, my way of learning and overall brought me closer to my ISM family and Im ready for whatever comes next!
