This is absolutely crazy. This will be the last blog post I put into my 2015-2016 portfolio binder. I am in awe of how much I have grown from the beginning of the year until now. Never In a million years would I have thought that I would have achieved what I have. Being able to interview 5+ graphic designers, Networking with professional in Business Symposium, conducting 5 or so full speeches with visuals, and being able to create a redesigned website that has all the potential to be actually used as the Frisco ISD moodle website.
I am only 17 years old and I feel that ISM has given me more opportunity, more experiences and more skills than any other class in high school can. This past year has been tremendous, and I am so sad to see all of my ISM senior friends leave, but I know they are all headed to great places to all do great things and lead great lives. I not only hope to continue my relationship with them but with Mr. Wysong as well once we graduate. He has been the real mentor for all of us, coaching us all in life and in school, making us do things we feel really self conscious or nervous about like public speaking, but not to punish us for procrastinating in his class, but to build upon our strengths and skills, and make us the best possible professional we can be.
I not only feel more prepared for college but for life in general. ISM has given me skills I never knew I needed until now, and I feel so much more confident in myself now then I probably would have ever been, had I not been in ISM.
This is the last few days before Final Presentation Night. I could do terribly that night but it doesn't matter, I have achieved and exceeded all expectations for myself and I am proud of the person I am today, and now no one can take that away from me. I am so thankful to have been in ISM this year, so thank you all for supporting me and seeing me grow in this journey!
