Hi again!
So this past week in ISM,
We practiced mock interviews with our other classmates and critiqued each other's resumes and research assessments. I had a full resume ready to go, but at the very last minute changed the design because I wasn't fully happy with it. I'm still not sure that I am, however I think with time and learning a bit more about design and the ways to market products to people, I will be able to create a resume that I am 100% happy with.
The research assessment we did however, I really enjoyed and got a lot out of it. I watched a TED talk video from a speaker named, David Carson. In his speech he talked about the psychology behind design and how it's more than just a pretty picture, and is more about how the brain comprehends images a connects them with emotions. I found this video to be extremely eye opening and allowed me to gain even more knowledge about my field, which is always needed.
One last thing I would like to mention is that, Mr. Wysong, my ISM teacher, gave us the green light to begin contacting people, and I'm nervous but also extremely excited to get my name out there and begin my journey into finding a mentor and becoming a designer of my own.
Until next week!
