Hi Again!
So in ISM this past week, we really started stressing the importance of time-management, and getting things done in time. With Final Presentation Night only a few months away it is imperative we get the ball rolling on our products. So in my mentor visits we have created a schedule with declines to keep us on the right track and frequently update each other on the progress we have going on.
In addition to that, we had out third EOL or Evidence Of Learning due. For those of you don't know what EOL's are , basically they are any kind of assessment that shows our learning and growth in our field. So for example, this past week I created my own font for the first time ever. I did my own handwriting and scanned it in to my computer, and then adjusted it in illustrator before finally installing it as a font. Unfortunately, I didn't account for the sizing of each letter or alignment, which is good for future reference so I can improve from some of the mistakes I had, but It made the letters a little warped and skewed. Overall, it was a good learning experience though and made me want to improve upon my skill in typography. The picture below is the font I created, it is my own handwriting so I like that it is recognizable and unique, however next time I make a font I will remember to make them more uniform with weights, shape, alignment and spacing to help it look more put together. But let me know what you guys think about it and I might be able to put up a .zip file so you guys can get the font too if you want it!
