Hi everyone!
So this past week I really wanted to focus on getting my final product started and setting the grounds for it. So my mentor and I created a final decision on what we wanted and came up with the idea of redesigning moodle. Which if you don't know what that is, it is basically the school district's student page where we can submit our assignments online or find resources and contact our teachers. Which sounds great in theory, but we found that the design for the website was incredibly outdated for such a highly growing district.
So a lot of web design will take place in our project of redesigning it. But more than that, I really wanted to incorporate a way for the psychology of design to be incorporated into it. Aspects like color theory, meaning of shapes, and the way the webpage is laid out. All of these things, when done correctly, can actually impact the way we take in information and an actually make it easier or harder to learn or comprehend. So seeing as this is a webpage about school, it is only fitting that it should be designed in a way that allows for maximum comprehension for any student or teacher that will get onto this platform.
With that in mind, we really wanted to go a head and start the basis of our webpage. My project was to come up with some logos for it, which will set the tone for the rest of the website. I had several sketches but narrowed it done to a final 6 logos to finalize in Adobe Illustrator. These are them:
I am interested to see if you guys like any of them, and if you do or have any suggestions please feel free to contact me and let me know your thoughts! It would be very beneficial to hear what you guys think!
