Hey Everyone!
So these past two weeks have been by far the most eventful and chaotic weeks so far. Maybe it was just the beginning of the holidays that made it seem crazy, but between school, ISM and having a part-time job, I have realized the weight of how much time management is needed and essential to making sure I have every thing done and done well.
One of the biggest things that have taken place since the last time I posted, is that I have had my first mentor visit and together we have kind of mapped out how we think this journey will go and started thinking of a couple projects we are going to do. I don't want too give away too much, but what we are thinking about is designing a way for students to learn better, wether it be in school or just in general.
This idea actually rooted from past personal experiences. For me growing up, I found it very difficult (and quite frankly still do) to keep up with my other classmates. Now this doesn't mean I have a learning disability in any way, but what I have found is that I learn better in certain situations rather than in others. I found that I am a 100% visual learner, and in order for me to grasp an idea I need to see it. Wether it be through diagrams, pictures, graphics or hands-on practice, I finally saw my grades getting better once I found out how to study and how I learned.
I hope to create some kind of platform that will allow people like me to learn visually so they don't feel left behind, I think what my mentor and I create could be revolutionary, and I am very excited to see what we come up with. I will keep you all posted as usual and let you know our progress on this project. See you next week!
